India through maps. Get to OJAS Art Gallery opposite Qutub Minar to check out this wonderfully curated exhibition of maps – Cartographical Tales. The exhibition is on till 22nd September so there’s still time, Dilliwalahs, for you to catch up with this one of a kind exhibition.
On display are some wonderful, never-ever-seen-before-by-Dilliwalahs maps. Sample this for flavour: A Map of Bengal, Bihar, Awadh & Allahabad with part of Agra and Delhi that traces the course of the Ganges from Haridwar to Bay of Bengal. It is credited to engraver, James Rennell, F.R.S Surveyor General of India. There are plenty more. So get there and soak yourself in history through maps and cartographic tales.
