Delhi is talking about Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit criticised Kangana for misidentifying an elderly Sikh woman, Ms. Mahinder Kaur, who had joined the farmers’ protest. Kangana took her to be a protester from Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh and made some deplorable comments about her and that hasn’t gone too well with Dilliwalahs.
Meanwhile many Punjabi singers other than Diljit such as the much respected Gurdas Mann, have lent their support to the protests. Some other mainstream Punjabi singers like Himmat Sandhu, Jass Bajwa, R Nait, and Kanwar Grewal have released songs supporting the farmers’ stir. But it is Diljit’s stance and sparring with Kangana that’s got Dilliwalahs talking.
