Psychopaths and all that rubbish!

Winters for Dilliwalahs meant getting up to romantically misty mornings, lazing around in sun-soaked afternoons to carousing with friends in the evenings wrapped in fancy woolens (No! Mr Kejriwal’s monotone sweater with that trademark muffler doesn’t qualify!). The pollution this year in Delhi has deprived us, Dilliwalahs, of all our wintry thrills. It is so bad that Delhi’s case need not be taken up during any Climate Summit for it is more likely to fit in to the agenda at the Chemical Weapon Convention. No one knows whom to pin down for the state of air in Delhi. For once you can’t paste the blame on the new Government at the helm of affairs in the state. And trying, it seems, they are. However, never too short on humour – from the odd-even car number proposal sprouted yet another series of jokes giving the over-worked Santa-Banta some respite. But Delhi being what it is – the focus has now shifted to the CBI raid on the CM’s office. And as everything in Delhi cascades (but for the river Yamuna), the CBI Raid is now a full-blown controversy which is negating the impact of at least the first two Patiala-pegs at most gatherings (we are Dilliwalahs – we need to discuss things over our drinks with little or no apologies for the chai-per-charcha variety!).
